WorldWide Instameet in Vienna

Hello everyone!

This weekend was all about the WorldWide Instameet – Instagrammers all around the world met to hang out and take pictures together. Yesterday we joined the event along with the other members of Igers Vienna community. There were five great thematic tours organized by the Igers Vienna around the city, guided by five members of the community – street photography, street art, subway, architecture and landscape tour. It was really hard to make a decision which tour to join, but in the end we have decided to step out of our comfort zone and go with street photography. We have little experience with street photography, so this was the perfect occasion to practice and learn from the best – photographers able to capture the right moments and tell stories with their photographs, such as the guide of our tour – professional photographer Patrick Domingo.

Our long Instawalk took us through several districts and lively Viennese areas, starting from Brunnenmarkt, eight, seventh district, all the way to Naschmarkt and up to Museums Quartier. We had so much fun taking pictures and hanging out with fellow Instagrammers. And of course we enjoyed interacting with the Viennese people we were taking pictures of. The Instameet ended in Museums Quartier where we took a group picture and then left to the after party hosted in Sneak In, catered by Rita Bringt’s (who delivered some delicious, organic, vegetarian specialties – and are an absolute recommendation for the Viennese vegetarians, or simply healthy food lovers).

We would like to thank the Igers Vienna for making our day! We have truly enjoyed it and are looking forward to the upcoming events and to meeting new, inspiring people from the community!
