Photography became my passion several years ago. Collecting memories, the chance to capture a moment and freeze it in a photograph, making it last forever, is something that fascinates me. I know I am not alone in this fascination, my friend told me that photographers similar to Olga Topchii (you can see more of her work at olgatopchii.com) who collect some peoples most treasured memories. Maybe I will find some inspiration for my own work by looking at different photographers’ work to give me ideas to approach taking a picture in a unique way.
After researching a variety of photography styles I think I discovered the right one for me. What I enjoy doing the most was portrait photography, because I deeply care about people. The entire process of organizing a photo session, working with people while shooting and creating a special connection between us is a huge pleasure for me. Once someone is in front of the lens, you get to see that person in a different way, beyond only the physical being standing in front of you. It is that essence beyond – the soul, that is the most challenging to capture within a photograph. For me such pictures are the ones that have the greatest value – portraits that make you feel a person. For some people, such as actors, these photographs need to show exactly who they are, as they intend to use them as headshots to help them get a job, so they will take great care when it comes to these photos and go to someone who they know will be able to do the work well, such as this Boston Headshots Photographer.
I am only at the beginning of that long road myself and there are still so many new things that I need to learn, but I am very much looking forward to my future development. This is my passion and taking the time to educate myself about how to take professional photographs, as well as everything else there is to know about photography (either through assisting others in the industry or by taking an online certificate course in photography), I can’t wait to see where my journey takes me. And I can’t wait to share my experiences with you too. That said, since photos get a life once you start showcasing them, I decided to, every once in a while, post to our blog Vienna Insider some pictures I took, which are very dear to me, such as the ones you will see today.
It is a curious story how this enchanting girl and I met, and she is definitely one of the most special persons that I ever photographed. People who know me, know my affection for red head people (fake ginger speaking here :)), so maybe you can imagine my admiration and joy when I first met Noemi – the girl who never, ever in her entire life, had her hair cut. Not a single inch of it. But it is not just about her fascinating hair. It is about her eyes, face and personality, that make her so special. Looking at some of these pictures, which we took on a frozen, snow covered lake, make me feel her soul, that world of hers beyond. The world of music and guitar, which is her life, something innocent and fairy-tale-like. And I sincerely hope that these pictures will make you feel and see some of that world too. 🙂
There are many more photo projects to come between Noemi and me, that I can’t wait to share with you. Until then, enjoy this winter session of ours that I call simply “Frozen”.
xoxo,
Una

[…] her beautiful hair… Yes, this place would be the perfect location for a shooting with my real-life Rapunzel muse, but I doubt that the church people would like that idea. […]
