Marco Simonis was on our must-visit list ever since we saw one of their baguettes on Instagram, and later on the web after reading about their interesting concept of “urban appetite”. Namely, Marco Simonis is a fusion of a bakery-restaurant and a gourmet grocery store. In addition, they have an atelier with designer furniture and home decor.

Beautiful and bright interior, the sound of the birds singing (yes, you are reading this right, there is a music of the bird sang inside the store), friendly staff and a variety of gorgeous baguettes, tarts, croissants and many other delicacies welcomed us to Marco Simonis. Enchanted at the first sight, we looked around to get acquainted with the concept store, the atelier and of course, the glass vitrine stacked up with thoughtfully packed baguettes and beautifully displayed pastries.

We opted for a foccacia with mozarella, turkey baguette and a cinnamon bun (which we sadly forgot to photograph, but you can see in on our Instagram 🙂 ). Anyone who, just like we, likes crispy bread and rich, aromatic and flavorful sandwiches will be delighted with Marco Simonis creations. They also have some delicious lunch options, which we are already looking forward to try! 🙂

xoxo,
Una and Isi
